Interests | Reading Biographies, Indie Films, Hiking and music |
Favorite Movies | Over the past couple of years I've worked my way thru Vincent D'Onofrio's extensive filmography. I also like a lot of small, independent films like Atom Egoyan's "The Sweet Hereafter" and "Lightening Bug"***My fave comedy is Spinal Tap***I like Fargo and No Country for Old Men 'cause those Coen bros. are twisted...I also like classic Kubrick films like "A Clockwork Orange" and Full Metal Jacket" Old, badly-made B movies like "Plan 9 from outer Space" are awesome |
Favorite Music | Classic rock...The Kinks, The Ramones, Beatles, Stones, The Dead, etc...Old blues and jazz stuff from Muddy Waters, Miles Davis...love James Hunter (UK blues/jazz singer and musician) |
Favorite Books | I'm not much of a fiction reader. I like to read a lot of biographies, particularly musicians. Just finished the biography of John Lennon...865 pages...whew!...but a great read! "Rage to Survive" which is the bio of Etta James is a favorite, too. Loved "The Devil's Music: A History of the Blues" by Giles Oakley. Also, I like poetry and short stories from the 60's and 70's Beat writers...Ginsberg, Creely, Kerouac, etc. I highly recommend Charles Bukowski...especially "Run with the Hunted". It will give you a good overview of his work if you are unfamiliar with him. |
