| Introduction | Welcome to my writing blog. I turned my hand to writing after spending several years working in Switzerland and Italy. Influenced by this period abroad, I integrated many of my experiences and the characters I met there into my novels. For a number of years, I have lived in West Sussex between the South Downs and the sea, an ideal spot for taking leisurely walks during which ideas for my novels take shape and my character evolve. I write in two different genres: war-based novels and contemporary stories. I am currently on my seventh novel. I am involved in activities such as dancing and theatre and I also run a small, friendly writing group, which meets twice a month to discuss ongoing work. Since writing can be a very lonely occupation, I think it's important for authors to get together with other writers to exchange ideas.
