Introduction	I am a writer, surfer and reluctant ballet mother. I wrote a book about surfing because I love surfing. I wrote a book about art because I like art. I've worked as the director of a cultural centre, a public art curator and as an industrial blacksmith in a big old forge in Melbourne. I grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney and then via everywhere else now live in Newcastle, Australia. My books include Surf Ache, Vinni versus Bluebottle and the Colour of Trouble all published by Walker Books. Sometimes all I want to do is surf.
