| Introduction | Early writings in this blog are from my graduate program in social work. Now I am using this blog to communicate stories to my friends, family and the wider community, while on my recent journey to Ghana, West Africa. My interest in people began when I was a young girl, raised in a very small rural valley in Northern California. The community was secluded from "outside" contact, but every month my mom's National Geographic subscription would land in my hands, inviting me to other parts of the world. While National Geographic often provided skewed views of life, this was the beginning of my journey. |
