| Introduction | I am a 40 year old mother of three and have been married to my honey for almost 15 years. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise known as the Mormon church. I am an Idaho farm girl who grew up active in year-round sports, which allowed me to stay relatively fit without really watching what I ate (this is not good!!). I moved to Utah to attend BYU and never went home. I served an LDS mission to Buenos Aires, Argentina. My struggles with obesity began shortly after I graduated from college, got married, and started a sit-down/at-home job - all within three months of each other!! Then, I discovered I was infertile, and I chose to eat my way through my depression and bitterness. Now, fifteen years later, I choose to remove this excess person I have been carrying around. Also, I am on a journey to find myself again. Obesity, bitterness, frustration, and anger have changed me into a person I do not like, and I am on a mission to become who I am truly meant to be. |
