| Introduction | I’ve always loved to read. I blame my Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Smith. She taught our class to read at a time when Kindergarten was thought to be only for socialization. Thus began my passion for books. Years later, the Public librarian recognized I’d read all that she had to offer in the children’s library and sent me upstairs to the “big people’s library” two years early. I was ten years old. Eventually, I selected my college major based on all the books I would get to read as an English literature major. somewhere along the way, I learned to love writing just as much as I love reading. Now that I’m a grown up (sort of), I am lucky enough to teach one of my greatest passions, reading. My job in life, or one of them, is to read and to pass along my love of reading to my students. I created this website to highlight snippets of books that I love and to publish my own writing...beyond the world of my facebook page. |
