Introduction	I was born in a small town in Idaho when people left their doors unlocked and let their children play outside all day without fear. I've earned a living repairing all manner of things, writing poetry and advertising, painting walls and portraits. I've owned a restaurant and a catering company, and made a buck doing probably two dozen other things I scarcely remember. I've been around. I've lived by my grit and my wits. I have the time in my creeping decrepitude to reflect on the past, comment on the present and make a suggestion or two about the future.
Interests	History, food, politics, science, how things work, music, theatre, life and the living thereof.
Favorite Movies	Well scripted, well edited, well directed, well acted, well scored just about, well, everything.
Favorite Music	Classical, jazz, and a potpourri of most other genres.
Favorite Books	For a writer, choosing a favorite book is rather like choosing a favorite child, or flavor of ice cream. Given the circumstances, the answer might change, but you wouldn't really want to admit it publicly, would you?
