Introduction	I'm the author of five novels: When the Devil Whistles, Blood Brothers, Dead Man's Rule, The Lost Treasure of Fernando Montoya, and The Case of the Autumn Rose. By day (and sometimes nights and weekends), I'm a Deputy Attorney General in the California Department of Justice. When I'm not writing or lawyering, I'm usually out with my lovely wife, Anette, and our four terrific kids. Except during football season; then I spend my weekends yelling at my TV.
