Interests	Response to a letter of praise: It is good that everyone does not praise me like you do or it would destroy me because I would get puffed up with pride. But it is very encouraging to hear your words---believe me, it is very, very encouraging. Organized religion does not understand our family at all. We are so "out of the box" and so blessed that they cannot understand it. They know that we are not nuts because the Lord has used my wife, five daughters, my grandchildren, and myself powerfully for 47 years all over the world and has provided for us. But religious people cannot even come close to relating to our lifestyle. And there is great jealousy in the hearts of those who have struggled so hard and then see us sailing over the mountain peaks. I can't blame them and I feel sorry for them. So . . . thank you for seeing past the "normal" and accepting us, even as Jesus does. We don't have a big secret; it is clear to anyone who takes time to look and listen. We read the Bible, listen to His voice, and try to obey what He says to us. We refuse to read the Scriptures through the tainted eyeglasses of modern tradition and doctrines.
