Introduction YUAN CHANGMING grew up in a remote village, started to learn the English alphabet in Shanghai at age 19 & published monographs on translation before leaving China. With a Canadian PhD in English, Yuan currently lives in Vancouver, where he has worked as an independent tutor, translator & publisher. Writing credits include 9 awards, 14 Pushcart nominations and 16 solo collections as well as appearances in Best of the Best Canadian Poetry (2008-2017), Best New Poems Online and more than 2000 other literary outlets, across 49 countries. Also, Yuan served on the jury, and was nominated, for Canada's National Magazine Awards (poetry category). In 2022, Yuan began writing and publishing fiction; his first (hybrid) novel Mabakoola: Paradise Regained is forthcoming in 2024. ALLEN YUAN, born & brought up in Vancouver, is a 2-time Pushcart & Best of the Net nominee as well as the author of Traffic Light. Since grade 10, he has had poetry published in more than 70 magazines across 16 countries, including Cordite Poetry Review, Literary Review of Canada & Spillway. Since graducation from UBC in 2019, Allen has been working as an accountant in Vancouver.
