IntroductionJuan has been writing about soccer and various other sports for the past four years. Soccer is his passion and his true love. He currently is a sportswriter for the Bristol Observer in Bristol, CT as well as freelance producer and translator. His career in television started at Gol TV working at Gol TV News. In his spare time he worked as an on-camera talent for the show Plus. He also worked doing color commentary for Gol TV's coverage of various South American leagues for the networks SAP feed. He worked as a freelance writer in Argentina before coming back to the States to teach. While teaching, he hosted a talk show "International Sport Spotlight" in Miami and was a South American writer for Goal.com. He eventually headed to Connecticut to work for ESPN International. After his time there, he opened his own business and continued to write. Juan graduated from Florida International University with a degree in History and a minor in International Relations.

Favorite booksCheck out Paul Cuadros' A Home On The Field. It talks about soccer but also about the struggles of several immigrants to adapt to American culture and how they are left out of the soccer process. Highly recommend it.
