| Introduction | Formed in 1966 Midleton Athletic Club is one of the few clubs in the Cork area that has both a juvenile section and a senior section as well. This blog will deal with the senior section. The senior section has a wide variety of members ranging from members in mid seventies to just out of juvenile. It is proud to boast that two of our members represented Ireland in the Olympic Games. Whilst most members nowadays seem to favour road running over the complete variety of distances from 3Km to marathon and beyond also X Country and track and field as well. There is an active social side to the club. Anyone wishing to join is welcome to try out for a session before committing to the club. The club trains on Mondays from 6pm in the Midleton College All Weather Cricket Field and on Wednesdays @ 6.30 meeting at the Community Centre also on Thursday's at the Co Op Market Green at 9pm. Other group runs are organised amongst members during the week. New members are welcome anytime.
