| Introduction | My name is Chelsea Erven, and I’m a student at the University of New Mexico’s School of Communication and Journalism. I’m studying multimedia journalism, but my real passion is old-fashioned print journalism. I’ve had several print journalism-related internships, including one at the Albuquerque Journal, the largest newspaper in the state of New Mexico. I’ve also spent several semesters working for UNM’s independent, student-run publication, The Daily Lobo, including one semester as its news editor. I’m passionate about watchdog, investigative journalism and have experience working with public records and Open Records Act-related work. I’m also interested in media-related law and hope to attend law school after I graduate with my bachelor’s degrees in multimedia journalism and French in December 2013. I’m also a nationally competitive figure skater, and a member of the UNM Figure Skating Team. |
