Introduction I've been doing mini's for as long as I can remember. I blame my "addiction" on Mary Norton and her book The Borrowers. As a child I was convinced that the little people lived in my house and my first venture into miniatures was to build a home for them in my bedroom closet. The home was made out of cardboard boxes and items reinvented from around the house to use as furniture. Over the years, my knowledge, taste and budget has allowed me to become more creative. Miniatures allows me to enjoy almost any hobby in a scaled down version and I've met many wonderful people while attending shows, workshops and gatherings. There have been two highlights in my journey to improve my skills. The first was taking a workshop with Brooke Tucker and the second a trip to the IGMA Guild School to take a workshop with James Carrington. I had hoped in the next few years to eliminate some of my pending projects but I’ve added a new one….my Beacon Hill. I think I might have to live to be 150 just to get them all done!
