IntroductionMore than 3 million parents have relied on Adapted Mind to help their children learn K-6 math. The program is also used in more than 130 countries. Adapted Mind takes an approach to teaching math that recognizes and honors differences in learning among students. With the program, students take a pretest that measures their math skills and places them at the right point in the curriculum. Then, as students move forward, the program adjusts problem difficulty and continuously assesses skills to ensure that old concepts do not degrade as new concepts are tackled.

Despite knowing that students learn differently, traditional education pushes them to read the same textbooks and complete the same problems. Designed by graduates of Harvard, Stanford, and Berkeley, Adapted Mind was developed to provide a better, more personalized experience that is also engaging. The learning platform involves animated monsters, badges, and points to keep the experience feeling more like a game than learning. For teachers and students, the program provides real-time progress reports complete with actionable items.
