Introduction Hi, I got interested in organic food after my son was born. I wanted to be sure my family had good tasting food that was good for them. I'd been reading a lot about food additives, chemicals, preservatives, processing, pesticides, government, pasteurization, homogenization, msg, "natural" ingredients, etc. If we wanted to stay healthy it was up to me. My daughter was easy to please. My son turned on me when he was about 1 1/2 years old and became a picky eater. I had a milk goat. Once. For a month, and that was enough. (That's a story in itself that I'll maybe post at a later date.) I try lots of new foods. I experiment a lot with my recipes. They don't always turn out, but it makes me feel good when my children tell me I should open a restaurant. No thank you. Doing this at home is enough. My husband loves the flavor and quality of my cooking, but complains about the time and expense. Neither of us enjoys eating out except to be social with friends. In making my own meals, I know where my food came from and what went into it. One funny thing is since I've eaten this way my mouth is cleaner. Hopefully my insides are also.
