Introduction I was born in the Rhondda Valleys in South Wales, and brought up in England. I studied at Bristol Grammar School from 1961 until 1968, and then did 12th grade high school in New Jersey. Afterwards, I studied English and American Literature at the University of Kent at Canterbury, and for a Masters in American Literature at Keele University. It was between those two degrees that I became a Christian. For 18 years I was a high-school teacher in Norfolk and Suffolk, England including 12 years as Head of English. Then for 12 years I was a full-time church leader with the Newfrontiers family of churches in Lowestoft and rural Suffolk, and also worked with churches in France. Since 2005 we have been living in Cardiff in South Wales, having relocated to be involved in church planting. Now retired, I have been working on Welldigger for the last ten years. My wife Hazel and I have been married for 46 years. We have four children and twelve grandchildren. For the last twelve years we have been part of Cardiff Vineyard, where I am part of the preaching team.
