Introduction I'm a bit hesitant to begin a blog. After reading so many well done and interesting ones, I feel that I could hardly be as intriguing. As in the Sinead Lohan song lyric; "I am no mermaid", I may aspire to much-magic, but, for now, I have to deal with myself as I am-a being full of dreams and disappointments. I hope my followers-if I get any! Will share themselves as they are, and who they strive to be. WELCOME Swimming in the deep end is encouraged!
Interests writing, reading, running, animals, vegetarianism, baking, shabby chic, travel, Ireland, Paris, Russia, antiques, spirituality, myth and symbol, nature-camping, swimming, baseball, singing, playing the guitar, astronomy, oceanography.
Favorite Movies It's a Wonderful Life, Without Limits, School of Rock, All About Eve, The Good Fairy, The Secret of Ronin Inish, The Break Up, Walk the Line, Going My Way. I'm sure I'm missing some. It's safe to say my taste in most things is eclectic.
Favorite Music I enjoy all kinds of music. I'm not a huge fan of country-sorry Kristina! Or Opera. Music is, I believe the best way to express the complexities of the human experience and transcendence of that condition.
Favorite Books I read a good deal of books. I enjoy most of what I read. Unfortunately, I've never been good at remembering them all. A few have been memorable enough to stay with me; A Separate Peace, (John Knowles) Anna Karenina, (Leo Tolstoy) The River King, (Alice Hoffman) Galileo’s Daughter, (Dava Sobel) Mercy, (Jodi Picoult) The Little House on the Prairie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
