| Introduction | I, Ashok Sridhar, am basically from India. I am married to Sowmya. My parents, sister and most of my relatives live in Madras (now known by the name Chennai). Upon the completion of my bachelor studies in mechanical engineering in India, I worked for a year at Caterpillar; driven by the need to pursue higher studies, I spent about three years in Aachen, Germany, where I obtained my master degree in production engineering from the prestigous Aachen university of technology (RWTH). I am currently in the Netherlands, pursuing a doctoral degree. |
