| Introduction | I’ve never felt like I left the Republican Party; I felt like the Republican Party left me. The party that used to stand for common sense and small government through low taxes and low spending completely disintegrated before my eyes. As soon as they lost a couple of elections, they became the Christian Republican Party that stood for intolerance, low taxes and big spending. I felt like I was standing at the bus station watching my bus pull away in a cloud of dust. It’s not like I could just wait for the Democrats’ bus to come pick me up. That bus could never take me where I want to go. I'm just stuck at the station with no where to go. So here I am…and all I can do is scream. But I promise I’ll be an equal opportunity asshole. I want The Political Philter to be a place that all of the folks in the middle with us can come and read our rants and air their grievances with us. |
