| Introduction | It all started back in 2008 when I learned to enjoy drinking wine. Between my friends and myself, the wine bottles seemed to add up quickly. It bothered me so to have to put them in the recycle bin; I hate making unnecessary garbage, recyclable or not. I'd seen some wine bottles made into accents lamps and through a lot of trial and error, I started making some very beautiful lamps of my own. I gave them away as gifts and sold them on consignment and at little festivals and craft shows. I learned to make wine bottles into other things such as bird feeders, which have brought me so much unexpected joy. I'm crazy about watching and feeding all my birds, even the squirrels, raccoons, fox, deer and anything else that's willing to visit my yard. Besides using bottles, I figured out how to make bird feeders and bird houses using other things, such as wire votive holders, wooden jewelry boxes, pitchers, teapots, dollhouses and so much more. I now have a Purpose to Repurpose. |
