| Introduction | I am eighteen years old. I attended public high school part time and was homeschooled part time, balancing my education between broad opportunities of publiuc school, from physics to metal-smithing, and the higher standards to which I held myself at home. Because of this, however, I never really belonged in either sphere. I never earned my diploma from BHSN because I couldn't get full credit for the classes I took at home. So I decided to leave school early and turn a difficult situation into a wonderful opportunity. I am now a senior in high school, but instead of taking the usual classes I am going to spend the entire second semester in India. To prepare for this, I am taking the Beginning Hindi class and the Introduction to India class at Indiana University. This website will be a public travel diary of my journey to India, a journey that I hope will change my life. |
