About me

Location Cool Blue Austin, The Very Red State of Texas
Introduction I think alot of people might be in my same boat, well, almost....I "think" I feel pretty strongly about government, politics and specifically Texas law, but then WHAT do I reeaally know about the facts. A self-defined liberal and newly confirmed on-line as one, I expect a liberal, middle-aged, gay, mother of a teenager might have some interesting revelations about how this whole political thing just may affect me, my family and my community at large. My political experience has been varied. As a sixth grader, I helped stuff envelopes for Bill Clements at his campaign headquarters (next door to my school and my mom was volunteering there). I've signed petitions, worked phone banks for different causes and officials. I have gone to our capitol and discussed various issues of legislation with our political leaders. I have gone before legislatures on the floor of The Dome to give my opinion on equal rights for all Texas citizens. I have attended rallies and marches....and yet, I still feel like I am seriously undereducated when it comes to our states laws and political process.
Interests New love of traveling and seeing the world. This interest has become more intense over the last couple of years. I also enjoy projects, art, events that bring community together.
