Introduction After having stomach problems, I had a CT Scan done in mid-March 2012 which discovered tumors on my pancreas and on my liver. I have been diagnosed with pancreatic neuro-endocrine tumors, which arise from the islets on the pancreas which produce insulin. Clearly not a happy occasion, but I am receiving treatment for this comparatively rare cancer at Sloan Kettering. This is a slow growing cancer and I am currently receiving radiation, which is reducing their size. Side effects have been tolerable and I am currently feeling much better. I titled this blog, "Prayers for an Agnostic" because I appreciate the thoughts and prayers of my friends and family, but my general lack of faith has not made me very hopeful about the intervention of a higher power. Nonetheless, I'm willing to hedge my bets. Well, I'm not dead yet and continue working, living and enjoying life and trying to raise some hell along the way.
