| Introduction | I have devoted my life to working with people, and I love it. I am founder and director of Riviera PlaySchool (www.RivieraPlaySchool.com), an NVC-based, humanistic, constructivist, and mindful preschool for attachment parents. Riviera PlaySchool offers incredibly engaging, nature-ful, experiential "hands-on" learning. Set in a clean, loving, organic home environment, with hiking trail, large lush yard with fruit trees, children's vegetable garden, petting zoo, and dedicated school house. Inspired by Attachment Parenting, Bev Bos, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf. Leaders of mindfulness and peace, Thick Nhat Hanh and Mahatma Ghandi, and Jiddu Krishnamurti, who encourages us to 'question everything,' also inspire us significantly. One of the best preschools in the South Bay area, Riviera PlaySchool is an independent, private, "kid-centric" pre-school where people of all sizes can learn, grow, be, and enjoy. | Interests | In addition to being the mother of 4 year old son Kian, I am an energy and life coach, working with children young and old to reach their highest potential and find fullfillment within their lives. I am also an avid gardener, a builder, a writer, an artist, I am bilingual in Japanese, and I love people. After graduating with honors from Michigan State University, I completed coursework in communications at the Center for Non-violent Education and Parenting, with founder and executive director Ruth Beaglehole, as well as studies directly under Bev Bos and Marshall Rosenberg. |
