| Introduction | Louise Mackenzie has co-curated the CINECITY project from 2009 to the present with Sarah Breen Lovett in Sydney and in Melbourne with Romaine Logere, Russell Bywater, & Foo Chi Sung, director of squintopera Australia. CINECITY has been run in workshop, exhibition and competition formats, here participants make one-minute films exploring architectural ideas. She has a background in film and architecture studying at The University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. She's interested in the work of French film maker Jacques Tati in terms of the modern city and the filmic storytelling of Tati. She worked as a graduate architect for Multiplicity in Brunswick, Victoria. Australia. She has held exhibitions on Jacques Tati’s work at the University of Melbourne and in the Melbourne Fringe Festival and curated programs at the ACMI Mediatheque regarding the relationships between architecture & film. email: cinecity@thecinecityproject.com |
