Introduction	JahSun has been drawing ever since he can remember. His first memories as an amateur artist started when he was 5 years old with his first masterpiece (in crayon) proudly displayed on the dining room wall of his family’s small, one-bedroom apartment in New Jersey. Growing up in an urban environment impacted JahSun’s work tremendously, he was a part of the graffiti movement during the 1980’s – only his work remained in his sketchbook or on clothing – not on walls. For the past seven years, the self taught artist has been creating paintings that immediately capture the attention of his audience – drawing them in with bold colors & exaggerated, surreal forms; all toting an underlying message of hope, love, togetherness, self-development, & peace. His work has been seen across the globe; largely because of the iconic character he has created - "HOE MAMA"; who is instantly loved by all. JahSun’s is based out of Charleston, SC where he operates FariStudios. “I'm excited about Hoe Mama's recent popularity & look forward to continuing to develop the character, as I grow as a man, the work (she) evolves with me.”
