| Introduction | Tammie Lane Tammie Lane is an artist that has lived in Aspen, Colorado for 29 years. She has a BFA in art from Phillips University. She has made her living painting and drawing for almost 30 years. More recently, she added clay to the mix. Starting her career with art, Lane worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Kansas City, MO. Then in 1981, Lane moved to Aspen, CO and opened Lane Illustration and Design. Lane worked with many national clients over the years producing work for children’s books, magazines, posters and advertising. During that time, she was also showing her fine art in many galleries around the country. In 2008, Tammie Lane opened her own gallery in Aspen, Colorado. Lane Fine Art features her watercolors, pottery, and the work of other traditional Colorado artists.
