| Introduction | I'm Laurie, loving mom of Kaelyn (29) and Trevor (26), and Gooma to Ryatt age 5, who all live in our hometown of St. Louis. I moved to Everett, WA (about 17 mi. north of Seattle) in 2008 to be with my soul mate, now husband, Jeff! I absolutely love our simple, contented, abundantly blessed life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! I'm also proud doggie mom to Dottie & Annabelle-both puppy mill rescued Basset Hounds, and love creatures of all kinds! I'm a peace maker, vegetarian, mermaid, dreamer, poet, Goddess, wisher-upon-stars, creator,soul searcher, fairy friend, beach bum, smile & hug giver, child of the universe. Lucky me, I get to stay home sweet home all day everyday and do pretty much whatever I want to do: sleep until I wake up, read stacks of books & blogs, attempt to be artsy crafty then clean up the big happy mess, write poetry, prose & blog posts; play with my hounds, nap without guilt, drink lattes, Skype with my kids, walk through our woods, eat too much chocolate, take lots of photos, dream a little dream, and finally, just. be. happy. me! ~Namaste~ |

| Favorite books | nuh-uh. Don't even ask me/make me attempt to answer that. I have-seriously-like hundreds of books in my possession...I read 'em, love/don't love 'em & then pass 'em on to the used shelves of my library. I might think it is my favorite while I am reading it, but afterwards, it gets filed somewhere in my brain and that is that. Worse than asking me my favorite movie. |
Unlike a dog, how can a turtle ever be naked?
well that just sounds oh-so-dangerous to it's smooshable little body! Put that poor little turtles clothing/house BACK ON RIGHT THIS MINUTE! Although I must admit, I can just imagine the velvety softness of a turtles wrinkly little nakiness! OMG-how cute would THAT be?! It would have to have a new name though, 'cause it would not look ANYthing like a turtle! I WANT ONE!!!
