| Introduction | Betty and I had the opportunity to go to Lusaka, Zambia in Africa for 2 weeks with the www.Motherswithoutborders.org organization - working, learning, understanding, playing, loving, being loved, listening, sharing, crying, laughing and smiling with those at the Childrens Resource Center/School and others we came accross; including sharing in the tasks they do in the community and surrounding villages. We had the opportunity to visit, help with, and see the efforts that other organizations are doing in the area. We then spent four days in Livingstone, Zambia doing some sight('animal')seeing and enjoying some of the beauty and wonders there including Victoria Falls. Our last four days were spent in Johannesburg, South Africa - getting to see some of that area's culture and peoples. We better understand the Aparthied 'system' and the impact Nelson Mandela had - and how they still impact the peoples day-to-day lives. We saw many other sights, including the 'hustle and bustle' of World Cup preparation. We were very blessed to be 'taken in and taken care of' by some family members of one of my workmates, who live there. Enjoy!! Betty & Gordon |
