| Introduction | The goal of Arte Preta is to use socially conscious film, media and fine arts featuring or created by those of Black heritage, in a socially conscious manner as a way to educate and entertain people of all colours, cultures and ethnic backgrounds about the history of Black persons in the Americas (North, South, Central and the Caribbean). Emphasis will be placed on using creative arts to explore current issues of interest and concern in Black communities across Canada. |
