Introduction	At 11pm on Nov. 4th I was transformed... and have been in a near-euphoric state ever since. It is not only the prospect of having a good, intelligent, caring and capable president that excites me. It's how my sense of hope for all people has been restored. I have not felt this hopeful since the end of the peace and civil rights movements in the early 70s. Hope empowers. Hope can erase the despair that has been oppressing us for so long. January 20th, 2009 will be a day of rejoicing around the world. Let's celebrate together.
