| Introduction | They say everyone collects something. I thought I was the exception until I realized I do have collections. Mine are: experiences (my worst fear is dying with a couch-potato's regrets; if the opportunity was offered, and it was reasonably safe and legal, I've tried it. If I haven't done it, it's cuz I haven't had the opportunity.), people (I like most people, I find them interesting, and I'm usually surprised.), surprises (I am insatiably curious, but I'm open to wonder. It's my drug of choice.) Therefore, I tend to be openly adventurous, fairly gregarious and serially friendly. Also,I cannot stop: asking questions ("why? What do you mean? And then what happened?"), saying yes (when I should be saying no), and trying new bakeries (is there such a thing as bread poisoning? Cuz I'm working on a diagnosis). Stick around because with these habits I'm likely to humiliate myself, make a mess, and cause you to feel superior by comparison and who doesn't like that? Plus, there's always the baked goods...not that I share. |

| Favorite Movies | Most movies. But, never scary. Scary is bad. Also, you don't want to watch them with me. I'm likely to rip your arm off, ruin the suspense by asking "what's happening? How bout now?" 34 times, and blow your cool when I prematurely scream, making you scream and jump too. You want me to say "no" to scary. |
| Favorite Music | Death Cab for Cutie, Jack Johnson, Coldplay, John mayer, Norah Jones, Will Smith. And, generally enjoy: Kanye West (not his blabbing, just his music), Notorious B.I.G., Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith, Franz Ferdinand, Guster, the Eagles, The Killers, Aqualung, White Stripes, Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, etc. Now that I'm old, I'm mostly NPR or silence. It's a recent discovery: silence really IS golden. |
