| Introduction | Chris and I married in Aug of 2001. We always wanted a big family. I went through numerous issues and then discovered we were pregnant 8/2002. This ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. I had to have surgery and a tubal ligation. Knowing that I was ovulating fine, my GYN sent me to an infertility specialist. He determined that there was no reason why I was not getting pregnant except that I had a deviated uterus. After surgery to repair that we tried until Jan 2005 and set that as a date to decide where to go from there. Adoption or invitro. In the end we chose adoption knowing we could decide invitro later. Our paperwork was started in Apr 05 for Cayton, we were fully approved and being shown starting Nov 9th, Dec 9th we got the call we were chosen and Jan 10th he was born in Vegas. With Liam we updated all our paperwork in Jan/Feb and waited patiently for our SW to update our homestudy. We were approved and shown starting May 8th. We got the call June 10th that we were chosen for Liam and he had been born June 4th. Adoption has been nothing but wonderful for our family. I am so excited to keep growing my family through adoption. |
