My blogs
| Introduction | I was born and raised in England. I’m an arts administrator and non-profit marketing specialist. Writer, journalist, essayist, copywriter…I’m those things too. Please add professional photographer to the list as well! I’ve been happily employed in the music biz (Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour) and been a publicist for various artists (including Peter Tork of the Monkees). I was in professional theatre for 16+ years (arts admin, PR and Marketing, costume designer, stage mgr and tour mgr) before going into TV and film briefly (casting) and then transitioning into journalism and the wonderful world of arts in education. There is nothing I’ve done in my career that didn’t in some way lead to or through an artistic endeavor, either mine or someone else’s. I’m a true fool for the arts. Don’t doubt it.
My articles have been published in The Atlanta Journal and Constitution, Creative Loafing (Atlanta region), The Walton Sun (Florida), Aquarius, The Community Review, The Daily Panic online, Mental Floss (magazine), Cobb Life(magazine) and the Native American Times, among other publications. Now I live and write in a 29-foot RV (in England we call them "caravans"!) |
