| Introduction | I was born in Chicago to an extra-ordinary economical Polish mother who valued food and culture as much as she valued looking like something out of the pages of Vogue. I grew up eating home cooked meals and loving to eat anything and everything! Food was always a way to bring people together and really learned the importance of sitting at the table every night and talk..or not talk (when I was a teenager). Then there were far too many years of eating out and now in the last year it's home cooked meals most of the time. My love of fashion came from watching my mom put together pieces she'd buy at the thrift store. She always looked effortless and beautiful every single day and to this day still doesn't own a pair of sweats! I enjoy shopping for classic pieces and don't believe in trends. My expertise comes from logging in many hours at the mall, online and understanding that it doesn't take a fortune to look amazing. I have lived in Chicago, Denver, San Antonio, Austin, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I travel consistently and have met many people along the way that have inspired me to write. I enjoy writing about fashion, food, beauty, fitness and travel. |
