| Introduction | Hi, I'm Terri Symington. I come from a line of creative individuals... among them, my mother is an artist and my grandmother was a writer. My first passion was dancing...I was a member of a modern jazz/ballet company for several years. Even then I felt the need to express myself in other ways, so I designed costumes for dancers. My interest spread to fashion, so I pursued a career in fashion illustration. That in turn led to an even broader presence in the commercial art field. I was art director for several companies. Working as an art director for the "Horchow Company" was the spring board for my returning to school to become an interior designer. From early childhood, I have always had an affinity for the natural and organic. It is good to see it so widely reflected in our current choices and lifestyles. My work in interior design is an accumulation of my life long curiosities and travels. |
