| Introduction | Mark and Cynthia have been married for almost 38 years. Mark grew up in the church, but didn't become a believer until he was 27 years old after a struggle with drugs and alcohol and a failed marriage. He has two sons from that relationship (Bill-45 and Dan-42) Cynthia grew up in a Christian home. Her father was a Mennonite and Church of the Brethren Pastor. She is one of 9 children. Mark and Cynthia have two children (Jesse- 32 and Maria-28) They homeschooled both Jesse and Maria (Cynthia being the primary teacher) Mark and Cynthia met while Cynthia was living in Washington D.C., serving at the International Guest House through the Mennonite Voluntary Service Program. They have lived in Pittsburgh for the past 38 years, and presently are members at Bethany Baptist Church in Homewood. |
