| Introduction | I live in southern Wayne County, Tennessee just on the edge of the Alabama/Tennessee stateline. Alabama is where yard sales are abundant and I tend to venture out with my sister-in-law, Jennifer and her sister (my adopted sister) Barbara as many Saturday mornings as I can to reap the rewards of other people's "retail therapy". You would not believe the things that people sell for a little of nothing and I can't seem to pass up a good "deal". My wise old father says "It ain't a deal if you don't need it" but I beg to differ. If you buy something nice you can get rid of something that you have that isn't so "nice". Get rid of means to sell it at my yard sale which I have one of every spring with my dear sister-in-law and partner in crime, Jennifer. She introduced me to the wonderful world of yard sales about three years ago and I'm proud to say that I'm a yard sale addict. My husband, Darrell is not much on my "addiction" but he tolerates it nonetheless. He is not happy that my side of the garage tends to fill up but that is nothing a yearly yard sale can't clear out! |
