| Introduction | Maya Plass was born in England and has always had a fascination for the sea. She started her career in studying Marine Biology, she then went on to work in Argentina, on the ExeEstuary in Devon and now works in the South Hams, where she lives and set up Learn To Sea. Learn To Sea is based in South Milton Sands, Devon. Here, she runs marine educational trips for schools and fun Summer Sea School trips for families in the holidays. www.learntosea.co.uk for further info. In 2010 Maya had the opportunity to travel to Midway Atoll as part of a marine education leadership project, "A trully inspirational and life changing experience". She also acted as guest presenter for BBC Autumnwatch in 2010 and will also be seen on ITV's "The Hungry Sailors" in October 2011 and BBC Coast in 2012! When not working towards marine conservation she'll be found playing in or by the sea with her family, growing vegetables and enjoying the South Devon landscape. |
