Introduction	Russ Crabtree is the co-founder and president of Holy Cow! Consulting, an organization providing training, strategic planning, community, college, staff, congregational, and governing body surveys. He also does mediation, group problem solving, and succession planning. He has authored or co-authored several books and articles including The Elephant in the Board Room: Developing a Pastoral Succession Plan for Your Church: The Fly in the Ointment: Why Denominations Aren't Helping Their Churches; A Second Day: A Hopeful Journey Out of Suicidal Thinking; Mountain of Light: How a Band of Unlikely Persons Created a Home for Children with HIV. Russ lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Shawn and has four adult children: Emily, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Michael.
