| Introduction | I live in southwest Austin, Texas with my husband James and my daughters Jessica and Janette. Currently, I'm a stay at home mom, but not that long ago, I worked for the Texas Department of Transportation as a civil engineer in the Rigid Pavements and Concrete Materials group. It bugs me when people confuse cement and concrete. Cement is a fine gray particle (somewhat like the consistency of flour) that by itself does nothing. Until you add, rock, sand, and water, it is useless. So don't tell me you have a cement patio. It's a concrete patio. |
