Introduction | Blessed to have experienced so many wonderful things. Growing up in NYC during the 60’s. I participated in protests and demonstrations. In HS I was involved in 3 things that have had a sign. impact (March of Dimes Walk, saving Star Trek & community service for school credit). Worked in a surgical research lab at 14 & co-authored a medical paper. At SUNY Buffalo (UB), involved in FAST (150 disaster simulation), ‘Pilot 100’ rides with police and RC Disaster Services. Major: Mathematical Approach to Physiological Problems, Magna Cum Laude. Med School at UB. I was: on the admissions committee, Pres. PLK Medical School fraternity, and winner of Excellence in Surgery & Volunteering award. I met and married my wife, Margie Hill of 41 years, having 3 wonderful children. We Honeymooned in Europe and I studied in England, then toured the USA looking at residency programs. I trained at Stanford, UMDNJ and Univ. of Rochester, Research at ARC Blood Lab & NIH. I worked @ Albany MC, Loma Linda MC and in Des Moines. In Iowa since 1995 I ran for office 4 times. I conceived of, wrote &/or lobbied for 6 major bills that got passed into law. |
