Introduction	Redwing Farm is the blog of Gerald Clough. He took up hydroponic growing in retirement, following diverse careers. After high school, he worked as a broadcast announcer, television news reporter, and radio news director. He went on to earn a degree in Mathematics and a Master of Arts degree in Computer Science from Texas State University. Before that, he worked as a firefighter/EMT and still holds a Paramedic License. He served as an instructor in Mathematics and Computer Science at Texas State until being informed that he could not stay without being on a doctoral track. The Sheriff recruited him as a Deputy Sheriff. He then became a city police detective for ten years and commanded the Criminal Investigation Division. He served as a fingerprint examiner, Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst, Forensic Hypnotist, Criminal Analyst, profiler, forensic photographer, legal analyst and planner. After leaving the police department, he served as judge of the Municipal Court before returning to law enforcement as a county detective, followed by ten years as a state police investigator until his retirement from government. He is unsure what he wants to be when he grows up.
