| Introduction | I have been an active substance abuse and mental health counsellor for about 30 years now. I assisted a pilot project conducted by USM using Naltrexone to prevent relapse in opioid addicts in 1998. I was also involved in harm reduction programme using Methadone as a substitute for heroin addicts in the National Anti-Drugs District Care Centre in Johor Bahru, Johor. My team collaborated with Permai Hospital, Johor Bahru and Tampoi Rehabilitation Centre in treating and rehabilitating drug induced psychosis, dual diagnosis and Amphetamine-Type Stimulants (ATS) abusers. |
