| Introduction | Lake Superior Writers supports the literary arts. It is a membership organization that offers support to writers at all levels, from the experienced published writer to the emerging artist. The organization sponsors the Duluth Poet Laureate, a periodic writers contest (which provides cash awards to winners and publishes their work); writing workshops in various techniques; regular genre-based writing groups, a newsletter; a monthly E-calendar of events, and ongoing community-outreach projects.
