| Introduction | I live west of London by the river where I swim every morning. Look after bees, trees (especially willow) and 2 lovely grandsons, who live in a boat 50 yards away, that my amazing husband made into a home for them and their parents, so I see them every day. And our son, his partner and granddaughter have been with us for 2 years. Have kept bees for 26 years, and been writing/talking about the bees’ dance for the last 10. The dance is their sign language, a form of communication, information sharing that is central to their existence, and one that is unique to bees and humans. The emails/blogs that I’m writing, and various conversations I’ve had, are my beedances. All the information and stories that have been passed on through generations, through millenia, are forms of beedance. |
