About me

GenderFemale
OccupationBeekeeper, willow keeper, ex scenic artist, grandma
LocationShepperton, United Kingdom
IntroductionI live west of London by the river where I swim every morning. Look after bees, trees (especially willow) and 2 lovely grandsons, who live in a boat 50 yards away, that my amazing husband made into a home for them and their parents, so I see them every day. And our son, his partner and granddaughter have been with us for 2 years. Have kept bees for 26 years, and been writing/talking about the bees’ dance for the last 10. The dance is their sign language, a form of communication, information sharing that is central to their existence, and one that is unique to bees and humans. The emails/blogs that I’m writing, and various conversations I’ve had, are my beedances. All the information and stories that have been passed on through generations, through millenia, are forms of beedance.
InterestsBees, trees (especially willow), river/lake/sea swimming, reading non fiction, living in Oscar land (grandson), solitude!
