Introduction	I'm doing this blog for a couple of reasons. First, to easily share news with family and friends about our son Zach and his friend Scott during their deployment in Afghanistan. Secondly, because I'm a writer, something in me feels called to work on documenting and bringing their experiences and ours to life for others. I don't know why. I don't know how successful it will be. But it's my way of honoring the work they do as part of Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 463.
