Introduction	I am a recently retired special education teacher. I am also a mother and a grandmother. I am so grateful to finally have the opportunity to spend time doing what I love, which is spending time with my family, quilting and cooking. Since four of my grandchildren live in Colorado, I also hope to do a lot more traveling. My real passion is quilting. I would rather be sewing than anything else. When I am not quilting or cooking, I am reading, or gardening. I try to grow some of my own food. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and helps lower my carbon footprint. I am a believer in preplanning and cooking meals ahead because I like to leave as much time as possible for sewing, I try to cook and prepare a week's worth of meals in advance. Many of my friends have asked how I do this and so I have created this blog to share some of my secrets with you.
