| Introduction | Poul Nyrup Rasmussen is President of the Party of European Socialists and a Member of the European Parliament. Poul was Prime Minister of Denmark from 1993 to 2001. Before joining the Danish Parliament in 1988 Poul has a number of jobs ranging from Chief Economist at the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions to working on the harbour of his home town Esbjerg. |
